GAMES Committees and Councils

Membership Committee – Recruitment and Member Services

Membership committee recruitment activities focus on developing a comprehensive membership campaign to include a unified message and collateral materials. Membership committee members will seek out prospective members and contact these providers regarding the benefits of membership.

Additionally, GAMES Membership committee offers a "mentoring" program for new members for the fist 3 -6 months. A GAMES mentor will contact each new member to ensure the new member gets involved in association activities.

GAMES Membership committee will liaise with and support the Communications Committee with member newsletters, making them aware of membership committee activities and accomplishments.

Education Committee

The GAMES Education Committee will advise and assist on educational trends, topics, speakers and locations for the GAMES annual convention, quarterly meetings, and educational seminars. Committee members will evaluate and make recommendations regarding GAMES promotion of and partnership with affiliated events such as teleconferences, VGM conferences, etc. Committee members will also provide oversight to ensure the sustainability of GAMES educational programs.

Governance Committee

This committee is responsible for developing association By Laws and staying current on association practices and laws governing association operations. Additionally, this committee is responsible for overseing the election process including, but not limited to, selecting the nominating committee to prepare the slate of nominees for the annual election. Committee members should encourage participation in the election.

Legislative & Government Relations Committee

Liaise at both the state and federal level regarding legislative issues that impact the HME industry. Determine strategies and actions for GAMES members to implement in order to effect change. Lead association lobbying efforts. Prepare written reports and updates for the Communications committee to relay to association membership.

Provide leadership on current state issues to include Medicaid, Managed Care, licensure and more. Facilitates state association grassroots networking. Prepare written reports and updates for the Communications committee to relay to the membership.

Georgia Rehab Technology Council

The Georgia Rehab Technology Council was developed to work toward addressing the distinctive challenges that face rehab suppliers. Council members recommend and help coordinate rehab specific education that will provide needed continuing education credits. Additionally, the Council will communicate rehab specific information to association members and collaborate with other committees to ensure the needs of this unique industry segment are met.

Communications Committee

This committee will stay informed of industry news at a local, state and national level and develop communications materials such as newsletters, member updates, website, press and public relations. Committee members work to obtain regular updates from other GAMES committees and communicate these to the membership. Additionally, this committee oversees GAMES discusion forums on the website.
